On 18 August 2025, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) hosted a formal collaboration meeting with Hadhramout University, Yemen, at the Chancellery Building. The event commenced with the arrival of delegates and a guestbook signing session, followed by the national anthems of Malaysia and Yemen. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Professor Dr. Mohd Sazili Shahibi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs) and Acting Vice-Chancellor of UiTM, setting the tone for a meaningful academic engagement.
The meeting continued with remarks from Professor Dr. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, President of Hadhramout University, highlighting the shared vision for academic cooperation. A signing ceremony of the Letter of Intent marked the formal commitment to future collaboration, followed by a presentation of tokens of appreciation. The event concluded with refreshments and a campus tour, providing an opportunity for further networking and cultural exchange between the two institutions.
