About us
The UK-Malaysia Joint Partnership Call on Non-Communicable Diseases project titled ‘Reducing Premature Coronary Artery Disease in Malaysia by Early Identification of Familial Hypercholesterolaemia’ [grant reference number: MR/T017384/1, NMRR-20-272-52797, 100-TNCPI/GOV 16/6/2 (002/2020)] marked another level of an international research collaboration between Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia and the University of Nottingham (UoN), United Kingdom. The UiTM team received MYR999,300.00 and the UoN team received GBP248,985.00 of grants amount.

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) through the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation (FSR) has embark a research project on “Martials arts education: Perspective of Seni Silat Malaysia curriculum and world view.” The value of the grant received is RM167,047.00 (International Centre of Martial Arts of Youth Development and Engagement or ICM, UNESCO) and RM50,000.00 (UiTM).
This research is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Nizam Mohamed Shapie and among the team members are Prof. Dr. Mohad Anizu Mohd Nor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Rahizam Abdul Rahim, Prof. Dr. Shahriman Zainal Abidin and Assoc. Prof. Datin Dr. Sarina Md Yusof.

The Faculty of Applied Sciences (FSG), Universiti Teknologi MARA, (UiTM) Shah Alam, Malaysia is involved in a project funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme from the European Union entitled “Smart textiles – Modernisation of the Curriculum of Textile Engineering and Textile Technology in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan” or rather known as SMARTEX. The project is for a 3-year duration that started from 15 January 2020 and should end on 14 January 2023. Due to COVID, the project is now extended to July 2023.
