SHAH ALAM, 19 June 2025 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) has achieved its highestever position in the QS World University Rankings 2026, climbing an impressive 45 spots to be ranked 542nd globally. This marks a significant milestone for the university, placing it among the top 36% of 1,501 leading institutions worldwide and reinforcing its emergence as a major player on the international academic stage. With a determined focus on strategic transformation, international research visibility, and sustainable campus development, UiTM’s rise is more than just a number—it is a reflection of a university that is rapidly redefining its

global footprint.

 

Among its standout achievements, UiTM continues to lead in its international research network score for the third consecutive year, highlighting its active collaborations with renowned institutions across continents. Even more remarkable is the university’s 250% improvement in sustainability performance, positioning UiTM as a forward-thinking, environmentally responsible academic institution. Its academic reputation score has strengthened for the sixth consecutive year, advancing 21 positions — from 288 to 267. In addition, UiTM ranks among the top 10 universities in Malaysia for employer reputation, out of 32 institutions evaluated nationwide.
