On 31 October 2025, UiTM welcomed a delegation from Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janya Chanchaichujit. The visit, hosted at the UiTM Global Meeting Room, included welcoming remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Fairos Wan Yaacob and was attended by representatives from both institutions, including Professor Ts. Dr. Norhayati Baharun from UiTM Global. The discussion focused on the upcoming Hybrid Student Mobility Programme in December 2025, emphasizing cultural exchange and long-term student mobility collaboration. PSU also offered logistical support for UiTM students in Thailand.
Further discussions included the review and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with UiTM Perlis as the coordinating department and Ts. Dr. Juliana initiating the review process. A potential collaboration on industrial training with the Faculty of Hotel & Tourism was also explored, with Dr. Wan Ahmad Nasroun coordinating the engagement. Additionally, a courtesy visit to MITRANS was proposed to introduce PSU delegates to its initiatives and explore joint opportunities in research, innovation, and sustainable transportation and logistics.
