Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) proudly participated in the Meet and Greet with International Students in Malaysia (MAGNET 2025) held on 14 October 2025 at Dataran Pahlawan Megamall, Melaka. Organised by the Department of Higher Education (MoHE), the event brought together over 1,000 international students from 30 universities, representing countries such as Kazakhstan, Yemen, Nigeria, and more.

UiTM Country Booth represented Malaysia with the theme “5-Minute Experience in Malaysia,” featuring four exciting cultural segments; traditional houses, musical instruments, cultural exhibitions, and traditional food. Visitors explored replicas of 13 traditional houses from each state, displays of gendang, kompang and gong, colourful traditional costumes, authentic local cuisines, and fun traditional games like batu seremban, ceper, and congkak.

UiTM’s outstanding effort and creativity were recognised when it was awarded the Best Decorative Booth Award, presented by YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education. Adding to the celebration, our 40 participating UiTM international mobility & postgraduate students showcased teamwork and cultural spirit, emerging as winners of the Konda Kondi traditional game competition.

This meaningful participation fostered cross-cultural learning, global networking, and strengthened UiTM’s commitment to producing globally minded, culturally competent graduates.
